Italy goes to the elections on 4 March in a state of ongoing uncertainty on the back of a protracted “Grand Coalition” government just announced in Germany. Exit polls in Italy indicate that there will be no clear winner and some form of coalition will be required to give Italy a functional government whatever that might be.
Italians in Australia will also need to cast their vote in the Italian elections to elect their new representatives for their own electoral college of Africa, Asia, Oceania and Antarctica (AAOA). How will Italians in Australia vote? What impact will votes from abroad have in Italy?
The event will be moderated by Professor Peter Morgan and is sponsored by the European Studies Program at the University of Sydney as well as the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia (CESAA).
